    Who is eligible to use BillDesk?

    Anyone who satisfies the following criteria is eligible to use the BillDesk service:

    1. You should be an individual (not a corporate body), aged 18 yrs and above.
    2. You should be a citizen of India.
    3. Your bank branch should have an MICR code. This is the 9-digit code number that appears on the cheques issued to you by your bank (next to the cheque number on the cheque leaf).
    4. The mode of operation of your bank account should be - Single; Either or Survivor; or Anyone or Survivor.
    Note: For joint accounts, none of the co-holders should be a minor.

    How do I get started with BillDesk?

    You can start and use the BillDesk service in three simple steps, as described below. Keep your cheque book with you to complete the registration:

    In Step 1, you need to complete the Registration form by providing us with your personal profile and contact information, and selecting a unique user name and password.

    In Step 2, you need to complete the Payment authorisation form by furnishing details of your bank account - MICR code of the bank branch, your name as it appears in your bank account, type of account.

    To ensure that we correspond with you at an email address you normally use, BillDesk would send you a mail at this address. After you confirm receipt of this mail, you can start using the BillDesk service.

    In Step 3, you need to complete the following:
    • Copy of the Registration form signed by you.
    • Copy of the Payment authorisation form(s) signed by you and a certified official of your bank.
    • Please attach the photocopy of a cheque or a blank cancelled cheque issued by your bank for verifying the accuracy of the code number.

    Or, dropping them at collection centres placed at specified locations. You can also request a BillDesk service representative to assist you in verifying your payment authorisation form.

    Now, you can choose the billers whose bills you wish to receive and pay, and the payees whom you wish to make payments. Experience hassle-free payments and bill management.

    How are my bills actually paid by BillDesk?

    New Bills
    Each time your biller raises a bill, BillDesk would present it electronically in your "New Bills" folder. You would receive an email notifying the arrival of the new bill. For each new bill, you can decide when to pay (the "pay-on date"), how much to pay (the "pay amount") and the bank account to pay from.
